Overview

How far along are you on your path to digital transformation?

According to a recent Future of Work report, many organisations in Asia, including Malaysia, were unprepared to make the accelerated transition to a remote workforce at the onset of COVID-19, with 54 percent of organisations only “somewhat prepared” and 7 percent indicating they were not prepared to support the transition. 83% would prefer a hybrid or flexible working model while 63% of high-growth companies have already adopted the “productivity anywhere” norm and are seeking ways to continue in the future. Thus, employers and employees now have higher expectations for technology to help them work faster and more efficiently.

Driven by the urgency to adapt with radical shifts, the need for Digital Transformation Leaders to adjust to changing conditions to compose the future business, to form and reform dynamically has been highlighted in this global pandemic. By 2023, ICT spending in Malaysia will hit $25.2 billion based on the report of GlobalData Market Opportunity Forecasts. This spending will be reinforced by a growing rate of digital adoption and cloud in the country. Cloud computing, data analytics, storage, cybersecurity, business process outsourcing, and mobility with the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21 percent during the forecast period are the key growth areas in the ICT sector.

Further to the country’s strategic objectives, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin supports the MyDigital initiatives which aim to raise business productivity across all sectors by 30% by 2030, and for the digital economy to contribute 22.6% of GDP in the country. This gives more avenue for the public and private partnership to create new business models and business resiliency whereby technology enhances the efficiency and productivity in Malaysian business operations resulting in cost-savings and new revenue streams. Thus, organisations across all industries are compelled to rethink their digital strategies resulting in faster technology adoption for business continuity by creating new approaches.

DX Leaders Strategy Forum Malaysia is an exclusive by-invitation-only of senior-level executives and  high-level knowledge-conversation on digital fields with the industry’s most innovative solutions to help companies improve end-to-end customer experiences, workforce productivity, reduce costs, increase revenues and enhance operational efficiency.
